Here are the dates for our upcoming Drama Direct Ltd Acting Classes. All classes are limited to 12 actors for Stage and 10 for Screen Acting days to ensure a quality experience so early booking is essential to avoid disappointment.

These classes have become increasingly popular in recent months and are often sold out before advertised publicly with returnees and new participants who write to us enquiring. I have therefore decided to advertise them well in advance and before the final decision is made as to the respective central focus of each Stage Acting Class to allow newcomers as much opportunity as possible. The Screen Acting Class format is fixed so that is not so much of an issue.
A typical Stage Acting Class focus might be themes such as 'Monologues and Duologues'; 'Meisner Technique'; 'A Play in a Day'; Shakespeare's Blank Verse; '20th Century Plays'; 'Comedy and Tragedy'; 'Stage Craft and practicalities of process' etc. These cost £90 per person and run from 10-5pm at the Merlin Theatre Frome. If a copy of a play text is required as part of the process this will be sent to participants well in advance via Amazon or online bookstore. The cost of sending your personal play text is then added to your class fee.

Screen Acting Classes - These are run at Cooper Hall Frome as this venue offers the most filmic possibilities as a location. All scenes shot are duologues which are sent to the participating actors about 2 weeks before with a filming schedule. Each scene takes 90mins to shoot and the footage is then taken away and edited to broadcast quality before being delivered to you in a format compatible with professional showreel scenes. There is no obligation to on the day to stay any longer than it takes to complete your scene but you are welcome to do so if you wish to watch others. These cost £180 per person for completion of your fully edited scene.
